Altec 515-8LF pair on ebay... Not a model I've heard of.

Quite some differences in the specs on the sheet between the 8G, 16G and 8G HP.
I think the main use for a 16G would be in the 210/A4 cab.

...........and 815, 817 horns, with the latter probably getting the majority if they were as popular around the country as they were in the S.E..

Bear in mind this was before Bill worked at Altec. I was a dealer by then.

I suspect though 10 or more 8 ohm units were sold for every 16. You had to have a need for 16's.

Quite honestly, at the end I don't think the left hand knew what the right was doing. A whole lot was lost in the shutdown in California and the move to OKC.

But even earlier Altec lit sometimes can't be trusted. And some was printed in very short runs. I wish I'd had the foresight to acquire and file a lot more.
